Cardiff City have held advanced talks with an un-named Premiership goalkeeper. Currently David Forde is the only stopper on the books, but a new keeper is expected to sign some time next week.
Persistent rumours have cropped up although Peter Ridsdale has denied reports linking the Bluebirds with many of the names linked.
Vital Cardiff City takes a look at the most likely candidates and a poll is now open for you to cast your vote:
Stuart Taylor
The Aston Villa man is the mostly strongly linked so far, with a fee of between £200k-£400k quoted. He has had little opportunity since a million pound move from Arsenal and would relish first team action.
Richard Wright
The Everton keeper was highly rated but has fallen from the spotlight in recent years. A reliable and experienced stopper, Wright is also seeking first team action and could be available.
Scott Carson
The Liverpool and England U21 keeper has had little opportunity at Anfield and is a possibility for a loan move to the Championship. Liverpool have recently signed another young keeper alerting several clubs to Carson's availablity.
Tim Krul
Newcastle United's Dutch keeper is extremely highly rated and has just signed a new 4 year deal. He will not get regular first team action at St James' Park and is confirmed to be seeking a loan move, possibly to the Championship.
A.N.Other
We don;t really have any iron-clad names, and Ridsdale has been quick to deny speculation. A whole host of other goalkeepers could be in the frame and we won't know until he's signed.
