'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ex-Cardiff Man In St Mirren Move

Cardiff City have announced their squad list for the coming season and have listed 22 first team members so far.

The most notable absentee is the currently vacant 'number 1' jersey - vacated by Neil Alexander and so far yet to be filled.

Kevin McNaughton changes number to '2' allowing new signing Capaldi to take up the number '3' shirt.

Fellow new signings Gavin Rae and Steve MacLean take the '4' and '9' shirts respectively with Steve Thompson dropping to shirt number 20.

One person not yet assigned a squad number is young Aaron Ramsey. The teenager made his debut last season and is highly rated for the future leading an un-specified North London side (either Arsenal or Spurs!) to offer a 7-figure sum for him.

There is no squad number for Willo Flood, who joined Dundee United on a season long loan. However transfer-listed Kevin Cooper keeps his '17' shirt from last season after the club received no offers for the veteran midfielder.

Chris Gunter remains number '44' but there is no number for fellow young full-back Joe Jacobson who looks set to move on.
