After an up-and-down season, Cardiff City finished comfortably mid-table. A scintillating start was followed by a dismal end and the same players looked half as effective as previously.
VitalCardiff brings you an end of season review of each player. If you disagree then feel free to leave a comment at the foot of this article or e-mail Vital Bluebirds with an alternative review!!
The reviews will be published every weekday between 10-11am:
22 Rhys Weston
The squad number 22 was held by two players over the course of Cardiff City`s season. Originally, the shirt was held by Welsh International Right-back Rhys Weston. Weston was advised by manager Dave Jones to actively seek a new club, but no offers came in despite a trial at Millwall.
Weston was then released shortly into the season and he promptly joined up with Norwegian club Viking Stavanger for the end of their season. A move to Port Vale on a short term contract followed but he failed to win a permanent deal despite starting 15 games for the Valiants. Weston has been unattached since and has struggled to attract any interest despite a good pedigree and experienced background.
