Cardiff City have persuaded Sheffield Wednesday favourite Steven MacLean to join the Bluebirds as he becomes the third new arrival at Ninian Park.
'Macca' is a relatively young striker at 24, but has scored consistently for Sheffield Wednesday and enjoyed a hugely successful loan spell at Scunthorpe United.
He has an impressive goal tally with 32 goals in 60 starts for the Owls.
Many Owls fans were disappointed to see MacLean leave but despite several contract offers from Sheff Wed, he agreed with Cardiff City and becomes the second new signing into Ninian Park.
Chairman Peter Ridsdale was pleased to confirm the signing of MacLean and revealed the competition for his signature:
'We've made no secret that we need more strike power up front and Steve MacLean's got a very good track record,'
'We've been tracking him throughout the summer but Sheffield Wednesday were very keen to hang onto him.' Ridsdale told BBC Sport.
Welcome to Cardiff City Steven.
