In an in-depth interview with the Official Site, Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has moved to dispel fears of a lack of activity in the transfer market and revealed that things are more or less in place.
'All the players that we want to bring in have been spoken to.'
'At present it's a waiting game and we are probably as far down the line as everyone else in our situation. It's down to the players that we have spoken to, whether we can agree terms with the pland and/or his agent, whether the player wants to come here.'
'We have several coming down to look at the area because they have families whom they would have to move down here.'
Peter Ridsdale yesterday revealed a minimum of 2 (and up to 4) players were expected to sign presently.
Some fans were becoming concerned at the lack of action but it seems that the club has been working hard behind the scenes and that the players involved have been keeping their options open.
The knowledge that players have been looking round the area is good news meaning they are giving serious consideration to the move. The Vale of Glamorgan has provided allure to many players and Dave Jones himself whose family are well settled in the area.
We have been promised a squad better than last season's, we do not have that yet but the new signings can go a long way towards impressing the fans and generating genuine excitement for the new season.
