Cardiff: DJ and His Eight Man List

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has handed a list of 8 names to his Chairman Peter Ridsdale - each of which is now a top transfer target.

The list has been compiled by Jones and Ridsdale as they look to build a stronger Bluebirds team. One thing firmly in the minds of Cardiff City though - is money.

We simply do not have the funds to bring in the big name players o r those with other clubs interested in many cases. We have been out-powered in the transfer market of late but Jones and Ridsdale have brought players like McNaughton and McPhail in for nothing and must strive to do so again.

On the 8 strong list, strikers and goalkeepers are the priority but a central and right-sided midfielder must also feature meaning that the club has identified exactly which players they want with possibly 2 options in certain positions.

The media have linked numerous players with the club but all have been dismissed so far.
