Capalidi To Play 'Real Football'

Cardiff City's newest (and only) recruit has spoken of his excitment over the move and stated his determination to play good football at his new club.

"I love to go forward and link up with the forwards, which is why I maybe prefer full-back"

"I love to get up and back, it`s part of my game.'

"I`m not a kick it and hope merchant, I want to play football and that is what Cardiff City want from me."

Capaldi rejected a new contract at former club Plymouth Argyle and disappointed manager Ian Holloway when he left. It seems Capaldi was frustrated with the tactics at Home Park - but they are mightily effective with PAFC finishing higher than Cardiff at the season's end.

Dave Jones prefers full-backs in Capaldi's mould and he will be asked to fulfil his best position and support the strikers from full-back.

Cardiff City are still searching for a big striker to get on the end of crosses from Capaldi, Parry, Whittingham and co.
