Cardiff Fans Un-Inspired by Strikers

A recent poll on this Vital Cardiff City site invited readers to choose which player, recently linked with the Club, they would prefer to see wearing the Bluebirds' colours next season.

Striker has been a problem position for Cardiff, and they desperately need a partner for Chopra who can get 12-15 goals themselves per season.

None of the players linked with Cardiff for this job have inspired the fans thus far, and all has gone quiet recently with regards new signings. A new goalkeeper is the priority for Peter Ridsdale but a striker must be his next task.

From those linked:

Leon Best, Southampton (42%)
Jermaine Easter, Wycombe (17%)
Jon Parkin, Hull (8%)

None Of These !!! (33%)

It seems the Bluebird voters want to see efforts invested elsewhere to find our new striker. Leon Best, out of contract at Southampton having rejected a new deal, was seen as the best option from those offered.

we need someone who is able to score 15+ goals a season we cant have a striker who can only score 6 or 7 its terrible

15+ goals would mean less assists for Chopra. I think 13 or 14 is reasonable and allows Chopra to continue getting 20+
