Cardiff Fans Backing Transfer Policy

Cardiff City fans seem satisfied with the club's efforts since the close season despite securing only one player's signiture, Tony Capaldi from Plymouth Argyle on a free transfer.

The high-profile U-turn in which Chris Killen snubbed City for Celtic left us needing to find another first choice striker, also available for no money.

There had been some mutterings about a lack of backing and ambition while the names currently being linked with the Bluebirds have done little to inspire and excite the Cardiff City fans.

A poll on the VitalCardiff site asked readers their thoughts on current goings on:

A majority 36% thought the club to be working hard behind the scenes to sign players, while another 24% believed the problem to be down to a lcak of funds.

A significant 21% thought we are out of our depth at this level and are unable to identify the right calibre of player and 13% believe Cardiff City to be an unattractive club for prospective targets.

The remaining 6% think Cardiff are biding their time to sign quality players as they become available.

It seems that the fans are backing Dave Jones and Peter Ridsdale and trust them to bring in the right players. It also seems that fans respect and agree with the policy in not discussing player transfers until the deal is completed and steering clear of speculation in most instances.

A new poll is open on the frontpage asking readers thoughts on which striker, currently linked with the Bluebirds, should be the top transfer target.
