Cardiff's Whittingham England Assist
Cardiff City's young left winger Peter Whittingham made an appearance for Stuart Pearce's England Under-21s side last night against Slovakia.
Whittingham came on for Aston Villa striker Ashley Young with 12 minutes to play and England already 3-0 up. Whittingham had a hand in the forth goal when his cut-back was hammered home by Tottenham Hotspur's Tom Huddlestone. Leroy Lita sealed the win making it 5-0.
Whittingham has been named in the provisional squad for the EURO-U21 Championships to be held in Holland over the summer.
