A recent poll on this site invited Cardiff City fans to select their young player of the season:
Predictable the winner, with 44% was Chris Gunter. The teenage defender broke into the first team and has drawn plaudits from many quarters with some solid and mature displays. He has won a call-up to the Wales squad and picked up the Football League 'Apprentice of the Year' award.
The ever-present Joe Ledley was second with 22%. Its so easy to forget that Ledley is just 20 years old and he put in another consistent and impressive season both for the Bluebirds and Wales.
Darcy Blake, the talented midfield player scored 18% after some good end-of-season performances. Blake has shown maturity and potential and proved that he could have been trusted sooner in Scimeca's absence.
A new poll is now open on the VitalCardiff site inviting opinions on the controversial signing of Tony Capaldi from Plymouth Argyle.
