Cardiff's 100% Ledley: Not Tired !

Cardiff City's promising midfielder Joe Ledley has proved that age isnt everything after appearing in every league game this season.

It is easy to forget that Ledley is just 20, and he is one of the more experienced members of the Cardiff squad. His effective performances earnt him a regular place in Wales squads and he is obviously one of the first names on the sheet for Dave Jones.

Ledley is primarily a left midfielder, but has played much of the season at left-back where he has performed admirably. In addition, Ledley also played several games in central midfield and his versatility is a big asset.

Pace, fitness and sheer athleticism are also big parts of Ledley's game and he has revealed that the tiredness and lethargy affecting some members of the squad never got to him:

'I'm often asked if I was tired as a result of playing so many matches but I can honestly say the answer to that is no'.

'If anything, some of my performances towards the very end of the season were amongst my best, so that ends the tiredness theory I suppose.'

Aside from not being tired, it is unusual and impressive for a defender/midfielder not to pick up any injuries or suspensions over the course of a season and is tribute to Ledley. The player surely has a big future ahead of him and has shouldered significant responibility already.
