Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has kept his weary Bluebirds back for end-of season training.
After a truly apalling end to the season, the Cardiff City players were given a 1 week break by their manager but are now required to report for training three days this week and another three next week.
Whilst many Championship players have left their club for much needed summer breaks with their families, the Bluebirds players will train the extra two weeks. This is only as if the squad had, as many would have expected, been involved with the play-offs.
The extra-training allows Dave Jones to spend this week explaining to each player individually their future at Cardiff City. Many are set to leave, while others could be told they will leave if a suitable offer comes in.
Dave Jones is a man of action, and the additional training must be seen as a mark of intent. He, and the supporters, was bitterly disappointed at the manner of the end-of-season collapse and will not tolerate it.
