Cardiff Striker Set For New Deal

Cardiff City's on-loan striker Warren Feeney is set to sign permanently for Cardiff City on June 1st.

Despite failing to make an impact so far in his Cardiff career, Feeney will make the permanent move and sign a 3 year deal with the Bluebirds. The move is a free transfer upon Feeney's Luton Town contract expiring but the Bluebirds paid a loan fee of around £100k to Luton in January so would be left out of pocket if they did not sign the striker.

Feeney confirmed his delight at the deal and stressed his need to play at the higher level in order to keep his place in the Northern Ireland squads.

'Everything has been agreed and sorted out and I am pleased to be making this move,'

'It wasn't until I arrived that I realised how big a club Cardiff City is and how great a place it is to live in.'

'We ended up a bit short of the play-offs this season, but the manager has promised that he will be letting players go in order to be able to strengthen the squad for a bigger challenge next season.'

Feeney has not yet scored for Cardiff City but worked tirelessly and looked busy in his appearances. He is not a prolific scorer but will need to work on that, as well as getting used to the way Cardiff play to gain regular appearnaces next year.

Hardly an inspirational signing.

Hardly had a chance - so hard to come in with a few games to go, even harder whn the team is in terrible form.
Bonesy
Not a goalscorer - so what does he offer?
