Cardiff New Stadium: 'Unconditional'

Cardiff City fans' long wait for a new stadium is now nearly at an end, well no but the end is now in sight.

In an official statement today, Club Chairman Peter Ridsdale confirmed that the stadium project has advanced and is now 'unconditional'. This means that all council and planning hurdles has been passed and there's is no going back.

Many supporters, bored with delays, hopes and grand plans but no real action will be delighted with the news and whilst diggers have been on site for some time now - the news is still a big step for the club.

Ridsdale's statement on the official club statement read:

'I am very proud, as the current Chairman of Cardiff City Football Club, to be able to announce such an historic milestone today. I am delighted also that the man who had the vision, Steve Borley, continues to play his part in the running of this Club and this project.'

'Thank you to everyone today is a day to saver (sic) and then the hard work begins.'
