Cardiff Chase Goal-Ace Killen

Cardiff City are still chasing New Zealand football ace Chris Killen, almost a year after interest was initially revealed.

The striker was a top target for Cardiff City and the Bluebirds were poised to bid for the Hibernian star in January, but a nasty injury scuppered any move for the player.

Hibernian want the player to stay but were only willing to offer a 1 year deal, and the player has confirmed he has held preliminary talks with English league clubs willing to offer 2 or 3 year contracts.

However Cardiff City are facing stiff competition for the player's signature with SPL giants Hearts interested, as well as Italian club side Genoa and rumoured interest from other Championship clubs.

As to whether Killen is the right player to partner Chopra up-front, we would have to see but he is a natural goalscorer and has attracted praise and interest from many quarters in the last couple of years.

We had many Scottish league players At Plymouth under Bobby Williamson, most of them left soon after. They either didn't settle or didn't fit in.
