Cardiff City's new signing Matt Green has spoken over his jump from non-league football with Newport County, to the hussle of Championship action.
The youngster has made the switch to league football at a fairly late age but looks to his hero Ian Wright (who switched at 20)as his inspiration. The teenager has made several substitute appearances for the Bluebirds after impressing since his arrival.
Pace is a rare commodity, and the youngster has plenty. His rangy gait allows blistering pace and acceleration and he has caused a few moments of panic already. He is still waiting on his first senior goal, but had a couple of chances against Sheffield Wednesday and has made a place for himself in the matchday squads.
'Kevin Campbell has played at the highest level. He's told me that if I listen, learn and work I can go far.'
'That, coming from a player of his quality, is mind blowing.
And continuing his admiration for Arsenal forwards, Green spoke of his current playing hero - Thierry Henry:
'At the start he couldn't hit a barn door and everybody was on his back.
'But when he found his feet nobody could get near him because he can use the ball, his body and make the runs to hurt opposing teams.'
'He is my all-time hero.'
Green has a long way to go to emulate any of his Arsenal favourites, but he has shown enough promise to remain at Ninian Park after the end-of-season clearout planned.
