Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has pledged his future to the club and re-affirmed his commitment to the Bluebirds.
Jones has done a remarkable job on very little money for Cardiff City, he has been outspoken on matters involving inadequate training facilities but is keen to continue his rebuilding job at the club.
'I'm in for the long haul at Cardiff City. I've committed to this football club as have other people and I hope that people will stick with us and be patient.'
'I've spoken with the chairman (Peter Ridsdale) and we intend to build, to use youth and take this club to be where everybody wants it to be.'
'I will get the formula right. At the moment we have the nucleus of a very young, up-and-coming squad that should hopefully stand this club in good stead for many years to come.'
'This club is growing now and we don't have to sell to survive like we did in the last two seasons.'
Jones could easily have walked after West Brom showed strong interest in his managerial service. Whilst things at Cardiff have not all gone his way, he recognises the improvement and is confident that the ambition matches his own.
Dave Jones has probably been the most important aspect of the clubs revival and the improvement is so clear since Lennie Lawrence's reign. We're lucky to have him and he deserves our full support.
