Italian Striker Leaves Cardiff City

Cardiff City's Italian striker Andrea Feretti has left the club by mutual consent. The 20 year old joined on a free transfer in July 2005 and despite showing early promise has failed to establish himself at Ninian Park and was not offered a new contract by the club.

Despite impressing for the reserves and scoring numerous goals, Feretti was considered too lightweight for the Championship. He has made several substitute appearances for the first team but failed to find the net although he looked dangerous and went close against Southend at Ninian Park several months ago.

Many felt that Feretti had shown enough potential to warrant more of a chance with Cardiff City but he failed to impress on loan at Scunthorpe and was due to be released at the end of the season. He has agreed to a mutual termination and will leave the club immediately.

Good luck Andrea.
