Manager`s reaction
Following the 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, Dave Jones refused to concede that Cardiff City`s play-off dream is over. He told the press:
"When you get chances you've got to put them away. We should have come away with something from the game.
"Someone up there likes us because they keep giving us the opportunity. But at the moment we are not taking it.
"The second goal was a poor goal to give away. I don`t think Fordey has had a shot to save all day and when he does save it, Pursey sticks it in the net."
He continued, "We don`t seem to have our shooting boots on at the moment. And it's the wrong time in the season to have a little dip in form.
"Certain players who are match winners are not stepping up to the plate and doing the business. It`s not just one; it`s four or five at the moment."
Meanwhile, Cardiff will be without Simon Walton for tonight`s game at Burnley after he was shown a red card for a mistimed tackle on Peter Gilbert during injury time.
Asked about the sending off Jones said, "I think he has probably been a bit unfortunate, it`s a rash challenge but I don`t think it`s a straight red."
