This week involves another set of fixtures which will impact heavily on the top 7 or 8 clubs. All are in action but there are two key games involving two teams up there and fighting:
Cardiff v Sunderland
3rd against 7th and both teams looking to win. Home form is with Cardiff (won last 5) but the Mackams are unbeaten in 13 and flying in the league. Each looking for a win to lift them either into automatic places (SFC) or play-offs (CCFC).
Wolves vs Southampton
5th against 8th and the teams almost immediately above and below Cardiff. Southampton are struggling and Wolves flying of late. A draw here would suit Cardiff best while a win for Saints could see them leapfrog Cardiff City.
QPR vs West Brom
WBA occupy the final play-off position and travel to a QPR side needing points to steer clear of the relegation zone. QPR are a tricky team to face and are erratic at the best of times, they could really do us a favour by beating the Baggies.
And the rest.....
Rock bottom Leeds face 4th place Preston. In form David Healy faces England debut scorer Dave Nugent in the friday night game. Play-off outsiders Stoke will look to beat a Leicester team with little to play for, the Potters just 6 points off the play-off zone. Second place Birmingham play mid-table mediocrity in Coventry, while table-toppers Derby play a Hungary Barnsley also looking to avoid the drop.
