Cardiff's Chopra: Dramatic Recovery!

Cardiff City hotshot Michael Chopra could be back in time too face Sunderland this week.

It was feared the division's leading scorer would miss four games after straining his groin whilst hitting the crossbar during the 3-1 defeat to Derby.

Cardiff City medical staff have been working tirelessly with the striker and there are now hopes he may not miss any games in the Bluebirds' play-off push - a massive boost for the team and fans.

'Michael did have a small tear to his hamstring, but he has made good progress.' confirmed Dave jones.

'Tomorrow will be the big day for both of them (Chopra and Scimeca). If they can take part in training then they have a chance.'

An extra incentive for Chopra to recover is the opponents, as a Newcastle lad through and through - Chopra would be even more thrilled to score against his hometown club's fierce rivals. Chopra's first ever goal for The Magpie's was against Sunderland and he would dearly love to beat them again with Cardiff City.
