Cardiff forward returns from loan

Cardiff City's French striker/winger Luigi Glombard has been released from Leicester City and returns to Ninian Park.

Glombard joines the Foxes on transfer deadline day for an initial one month loan period, but the midlands club have decided not to extend the deal although boss Rob Kelly praised the player's attitude and hinted he may enquire about Glombard at the end of the season.

Glombard made just one appearance at Leicester, coming on for the final 8 minutes during a 2-0 win away at Ipswich. He now returns to Cardiff but will find first team chances equally hard to come by with: Chopra, Thompson, Redan, Byrne, Green and Ferretti all competing for the two strikers places.

Glombard has pace and likes the ball at his feet so could provide cover as a winger on the bench also, giving him added versatility but don;t be suprised to see the young Frenchman leaving on loan any time soon.
