Cardiff star back in Top 10

Michael Chopra has regained his place in the top 10 players in the Championship courtesy of his match-winning performance last Saturday in the 2-1 victory over Wolves.

After an outstanding start to the season, Chopra had faded of late and had scored just 1 goal in two months until the weekend when he scored with a delighful chip and set up fellow striker Jason Byrne for the winner. Chopra also hit a post and looked sharp again putting in a typically energetic performance that gave the new centre-back pairing of Collins and Fleming for Wolves a tough time.

Chopra now moves up to be the 7th highest ranked player in the Championship according to the Actim statistics. The £500k summer signing is the 5th highest ranked striker and has 13 league goals to his name this season. Birmingham's Gary McSheffrey is currently the highest ranked player by a long way also scoring 13 goals but weighing in with numerous assists.

Cardiff's Riccardo Scimeca is still the highest ranked midfielder while Joe Ledley and ex-Bluebird Jason Koumas also make the top 5.

Hopefully Chopra can build on his revival with another goal in another Cardiff win this weekend against Leicester City.
