Wolves vs Cardiff City -Team News

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones is set to make sweeping changes to his under-performing Bluebirds side for the visit to Wolves tomorrow. Paul Parry is returned to full training after a groin injury and comes into consideration while Peter Whittingham is set to start ahead of Joe Ledley who drops to the bench. New recruit Jason Byrne will make the bench despite being some way off full match fitness after joining from Shelbourne during the Irish close season.

Fellow new recruit James Simmonds will not make the matchday squad as he must first prove himself at youth and reserve team levels.

The one major change Jones is apparently considering is at Number 1 after a disappointing performance by current keeper Neil Alexander away at White Hart Lane. Alexander was beaten at his near post by a Malbranque shot and fumbled a late Ghaly strike to allow Jermaine Defoe to tap home. Alexander has been one of Cardiff`s most impressive and consistent players this season and will count himself unlucky if, as expected, he is replaced by Irishman David Forde tomorrow, recently joined from Derry.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy has a selection headache for tomorrow`s Championship clash with Cardiff City. Welsh international fullback Rob Edwards and Gary Breen while fellow centre-half Jody Craddock is out with an Achilles problem leaving Wolves short of defensive options. Neill Collins will play at centre-back having secured a permanent transfer to Molineux while Craig Fleming could go straight into the starting line-up having joined on a month`s loan from Norwich.

Midfielder Jackie McNamara is still struggling with a groin injury and Craig Davies or Jemal Johnson will partner Olofinjana in attack following the sale of top-scorer Leon Clarke.
