Dave Jones was full of pride after watching his Bluebirds side match Premiership outfit Tottenham Hotspur all the way in yesterday`s FA Cup 3rd round tie.
Cardiff City gained a draw with a 0-0 result and Tottenham could count themselves lucky to get a replay. Cardiff didn`t have it their own way but Tottenham looked lightweight in midfield and were made to look toothless in attack by the superb displays of Purse and Loovens in the City defence.
"My players should be proud of themselves because they worked their socks off." Dave said in his post-match interview.
'Even though there were no goals it was an entertaining cup tie and we could have sneaked it, although they had a couple of chances as well.'
Jones also reserve special praise for the big Bluebirds following who played their part and supported the team from first whistle to last.
'The Cardiff fans were terrific and never stopped singing from start to finish.'
Spurs boss Martin Jol was satisfied with the result, hinting at his own apprehension before the game.
'I feel it is a positive result to take them back to White Hart Lane on a replay, maybe the maximum we could have hoped for from a difficult tie.'
