'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cardiff City reaction to Luton draw

After another irritating draw, Cardiff boss Dave Jones tried to take the positives from this afternoon's stalemate with struggling Luton Town.

'It's frustrating that we didn't win the game because we were by far the better team.'

'We just need that break to get the ball in the net because we dominated from start to finish. We just need that bit of luck and how that ball didn't go in I don't know.'

'It's 10 (games) without a win, but it's also eight without losing. We're joint fourth on goal difference and we're hanging in there. We're creating the chances and someone's going to get a pasting somewhere along the line.'

Jones is correct in that he can now put out his strongest side after injured and suspended players have returned. This is the side that built up a 6 point lead at the top and played some breathtaking football in their superb start. The players are low on confisence but still in touch with the leaders and producing some consistent form again.

With some new additions during the current transfer window, City can build on a good position and again challenge for a Premiership place.

No wins in 10 games, but there's light at the end of the tunnel for City.
