Cardiff City have been linked with the highly rated Rotherham striker Will Hoskins.
The 20 year old striker has been in good form this season in Coca-Cola league one and has 13 league goals to his name this season despite Rotherham's position in the bottom four.
Cardiff desperately need options up front with Luigi Glombard and veteran Kevin Campbell failing to make an impact when required to stand-in for Chopra or Thomspon up-front. Hoskins is not a target man but could play in attack with Thompson or Chopra if needed and would make a big difference coming off the bench, something we have lacked this season.
The asking price for Hoskins has varied between £600k and £2million with Dave Jones expected to be handed a reasonable transfer kitty in the New Year. It seems unlikely that Jones would spend anythink like £2million on one unproven player especially as Cardiff need extra depth in all areas.
The interest does, however, confirm Dave Jones' determination to sign another striker with Campbell, Glombard and Ferretti seemingly not sufficient for Cardiff's promotion push.
