Cardiff: 'Ragged A**e Rovers'!

A frustrated Dave Jones has hit out over the lack of facilities available to his side as they prepare to face Hull City at the KC stadium this weekend.

Cardiff City have been forced to train indoors for much of the past month due to waterlogged pitches at their Treforrest training ground and a lack of feasible alternatives which has seen them shunted around Cardiff looking for a place to play.

Jones also revealed his personal dissappointment and his growing discontent regarding the situation:

'I feel that we are like Ragged A**e Rovers with the way we're looking for somewhere to train over the last few weeks' Jones told the South Wales Echo.

'When I came into work on Monday morning I was at my lowest ebb since I've been at the club, I just knew that training would be off.' He continued.

'It's got to the stage that when I come into the club and see Peter (Ridsdale) he turns away, because he knows I'm going to have a moan at him and I'm on the warpath.'

'We have even been getting them on Google Earth on the internet to look for a place in the surrounding area.'

Work is due to start next year on Cardiff's new stadium, a development which will go hand-in-hand with a new state-of-the-art training ground which Jones has cited as key to the clubs and his future.

The current situation is obviously unsatisfactory with the club 'borrowing' facilities from Cardiff University and the Vale of Glamorgan Hotel. A club vying for promotion into the top flight of British football really should be much better equipped than we are. Whilst the lack of training possibilities has coincided with Cardiff's worst spell of the season - Jones has refused to use that as an excuse.

Dave Jones is NOT happy!
