A Cardiff City reserve team game was cancelled yesterday denying Cardiff players a chance to prove their fitness ahead of this weekend's trip to Hull City.
Instead Cardiff players took on a local side on the public park opposite Cardiff City's Ninian Park Road. Triallist Charlie Miller, who currently plays in Norway for Brann Bergen, was involved in the game but was understandably unimpressed by the circumstances:
'The game was a farce so I don't think too much will be read into that', Miller said of the match.
Miller is hoping to secure a permanent Cardiff City contract in January in order to secure a move back to Britain and will be looking to impress in reserve team games and training to convince Dave Jones to move for the 29 year old midfielder.
This scenario is not exactly indicative of a club pushing for top-flight status and comes on the back of amission by Dave Jones that the club has been unable to train outdoors of late due to inadequacy of the club's training facitiities with the training ground at Trefforest waterlogged.
Jones has already cited the lack of facilities as a major factor in failing to attract players to Cardiff during the last loan transfer period and the situation must be rectified fast if Cardiff are to progress as a club.
