'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cardiff Match Reaction (vs Ipswich)

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones bemoaned a lack of creativity after his side was held to a 2-2 draw with Ipswich Town and revealed his disappointment with his team's recent form. Jones however promised to see out the rough patch and make the best of his small group of tires and battered players.

Speaking after the match Jones said:

'It was a tale of two penalties that weren't. I don't think ours was a penalty and after seeing it again, I don't believe they should have been awarded one either. Maybe the referee was looking to even things out. '
'We just have to dog it from now until January because we are down to the bare bones. Hopefully we can hang on until the transfer window opens when I might be able to bring a few players in.'
Jones revealed his side had been unable to train on grass this week and had been mostly practising indoors due to a waterlogged pitch. He did vow to continue the hard work despite these set-back and was looking forward to the 2 upcoming away games where he can utilise other side's training facilities and possible the Ninian Park pitch with no home games until Boxing Day.
Of the draw, Jones bemoaned Ipswich's lack of opportunities and Cardiff's inability to hang onto the ball in key areas, something they must work on before the visit to Hull City next week.
