Cardiff vs Preston on Sky

The Cardiff City vs Preston North End match scheduled for the new year has been moved forward to Friday 23 February for live TV coverage on Sky.

The two teams have been the major suprises in the Championship title race so far and lie in 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the current standings. Preston were the first team to beat Cardiff this season when Glenn Loovens was sent off for denying a goalscoring oppurtunity, the Bluebirds went on to lose 2-1.

The game should be a good one with both sides sure to be in or around the play-offs come February and gives players another chance to prove their worth to a wider audience.

Sky coverage of CCFC games has affected crowds at home games, most recently the 1-0 home defeat to QPR but it also allows the team access to a large number of 'armchair' supporters in South Wales who may attend more games if impressed with what they see.
