Swedish starlet rejects Cardiff

Cardiff City triallist John Bertilsson has pulled out of a move to South Wales. Bertilsson was handed a trail period by Dave Jones, seeking to bolster his threadbare squad in order to keep up a promotion push this season. The Swedish striker arrived for the trial and stated his determination to win a contract with the Bluebirds but has now decided his future lies elsewhere and would not consider a contract offer form Carrdiff City.

The 18 year-old highly-rated striker currently plays for Swedish 2nd division side Carlstad United but has attracted interest from clubs outside Scandinavia.
'If Cardiff offer me a contract I won't sign,' Bertilsson told Swedish newspaper Varmlands Folkblad.
'There is a lot to think about off the pitch and I am doubting that I am mature enough to move abroad."

Bertilsson is one of a number of triallist given a chance by Dave Jones including France `98 star Aliou Cisse but so far none has been offered (and accepted) a contract with the club. Dave Jones has a diverse network of European scouting options and will continue his search for new talent.
