'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Match reaction to Sheffield draw

Dave Jones was reasonably happy with the performance but reserved special praise for Wednesday`s 'top` goalkeeper Mark Crossley saying:

"He made some great saves, he's experienced, he's a good keeper and knows what it's all about,' 'The best save of the day was when we slipped Michael Chopra in, because Mark read it the way only top keepers do.'

'In the second half we took it to them, they cleared two off the line and their keeper pulled off two great saves. "

Jones was not so impressed with referee Phil Dowd as he saw 3 Cardiff players (5 in total) booked during a stop-start first half that killed any tempo:
'I don't think the referee allowed the game to flow, he was too whistle happy, it wasn't a dirty game, just two teams giving it a go.'

New Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws was pleased to get a point against the league leaders:
'We restricted them to half-chances and maybe with a bit of luck we might have got a goal ourselves.'
