Cardiff's Chopra takes award

Michael Chopra has been voted the PFA Coca Cola Championship player of the month for October.

The diminutive Geordie is currently the division's top scorer with 11 goal, just ahead of ex-Bluebird Robert Earnshaw. Chopra has been in excellent form and aside from his goals currently leads the Cardiff City assists charts with 8. October was an extra special month for the striker with 4 goals in 5 games including a brace against Sunderland, rivals of his hometown club and against whom he scored his first Premiership goal.

Chopra has settled brilliantly into the Cardiff team and is a key factor in their excellent start. His partnership with Steve Thompson has flourished and he looks an absolute bargain at £500k giving defenders no time to think whilst making intelligent runs at all times.

Very Well Done to Michael.
