Vital Preview: Fulham v Cardiff

Cardiff's chance to immediately respond to a first defeat of the season came with a Capital One Cup win against Port Vale with the latest Championship encounter taking place at Fulham on Saturday.

This was a Premier League fixture last season but now we both find ourselves back in the Championship, and Fulham haven't started the season well at all losing all but one game this season, with a Capital One Cup win at Brentford their first of this season with Felix Magath feeling the pressure.

Fulham could miss captain Scott Parker with an ankle injury with Mark Fotheringham also doubtful with a hip issue.

A debut double in our 3-2 win over Port Vale should have done enough to earn Federico Macheda a first league start for the Bluebirds with him announcing himself nicely to us after injury had kept him out since pre season.

Aron Gunnarsson's ankle injury leaves him a doubt though so Kagisho Dikgacoi could get his first league start against a former side.

OGS is keen for us to respond to the defeat of the season against Wolves last Saturday and despite Fulham winning in the cup in the week this is really a game we've got to go for and come away from Craven Cottage with at least a point.
