Medel Valuation Met

Medel Valuation Met

Gary Medel's Cardiff exit will finally be confirmed shortly after our £10m asking price, which means we'll take a £1m loss on what we paid for him 12 month ago, was met by Inter Milan.

How the payments for our club record signing will be paid need to be agreed though.

Once this happens the 26 year old, who after such an impressive World Cup you would have thought his value would have at least maintained at what we paid Sevilla for him last August, will get the move to Inter Milan that he wanted.

Fortunately the Italian side, who Medel made it clear he wanted to sign for, matched the offer that Galatasaray had put in previously.

Jordan Mutch though isn't going to leave the Cardiff City Stadium, the reported £5m offer that QPR made has been rejected so the Premier League side will either have to come back with a better offer or move on.

As for players signing, OGS is thought to be after more.

It's reported that another four signings before next Friday's opening Championship game against Blackburn Rovers are what he wants with two central defenders among his targets as well as a replacement for Medel.
