Cardiff 3-3 VFL Wolfsburg

Cardiff 3-3 VFL Wolfsburg

Our final home friendly of the summer ended in a good three all draw with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.

Our opposition took a good two goal lead in the first half, but Cardiff responded well to that and scored twice just before the break to level the scores.

The first came from a Peter Whittingham free kick, and then Nicky Maynard connected with a Fabio cross on 45 minutes to send us in level.

In the second half, Cardiff continued pressing and Kim Bo-Kyung gave us the advantage by slotting home after Kenwyne Jones hit the post.

Wolfsburg came back late on with a leveller of their own though and that's how the game ended.

Another good test and game as we get ready for the Championship opener against Blackburn Rovers now.

Pleasingly David Marshall was back on show.

Subs:
