Horton In, Moore Out?

Cardiff are yet to confirm this unless I've missed it, but we have signed goalkeeper Charlie Horton.

The 19 year old stopper joins us as a free agent from Peterborough United but he is yet to make his Football League debut, or indeed a debut of any kind, but he is very highly rated and he will now join up with our U21 development side and travel out to Sarajevo for their pre season friendly.

Having joined Posh and returned to England (he moved to Ohio as a 9 year old) back in the summer of 2013, an agreement was struck this summer to see him move on after failed to work his way into their first team plans.

Following his arrival it's now being speculated that Simon Moore will now edge closer to a permanent move to Bristol City as they have been looking to take him back following his loan spell with them last season.

Having moved to them in January until the end of the season, he made 11 appearances for them and obviously impressed.

However, any possible move could be limited to a season long loan as we still have the future of David Marshall to sort out and given the applicable experience, if Marshall does move on to pastures new, then Moore would likely take up the battle with Joe Lewis whilst Horton finds his feet with the youngsters.
