Cardiff Plot Move For World Cup Defender

Cardiff's replacement for Steven Caulker, who is a near certainty to leave, could be another international defender but one that is going to the World Cup.

Caulker wasn't able to force his way into the England squad for Brazil this summer but Muhamed Besic did with Bosnia and is being charged with the mission of man marking Argentina's Lionel Messi.

Wales Online says that reports coming out of Belgium claim that we're interested.

His performances for Ferencváros, which have previously seen him linked with Tottenham Hotspur (who ironically could well re sign Caulker this summer), have seen further interest shown right across Europe from Anderlecht, Borussia Monchengladbach, Fenerbahce and now us in the 21 year old.

I think we can safely say that we'll get a good price for Caulker, at least a return on our investment, so funding a move for Besic shouldn't be an issue but us playing in the Championship could be a problem though, that's if we've got a genuine interest anyway?

Having OGS as our manager could help sway things though as everyone knows Ole!
