Lim Steps Down As Chief Executive

Cardiff City have tonight confirmed that Simon Lim has stepped down today from his position as Cardiff CEO.

Chairman Mehmet Dalman will now assume chief executive responsibilities, and he told the Official Site of the board room changes.

'On behalf of the board of directors and all at Cardiff I would like to place on record my thanks and appreciation to Simon for his valued contribution over the last eighteen months. Following his appointment in 2012 Simon worked closely with the board, leading the management team and staff during a period of transformation at the club. He leaves with our sincere best wishes and gratitude.'

Mr Lim himself said when tendering his resignation from the post.

'It's with great pride that I held the office at Cardiff, but feel now is the right time to move on, allowing the club to make adjustments over the summer before another important season.'

Lim adds that he was honoured to have 'represented' the club during our 'historic promotion year' and he leaves us hoping that he will very soon see us back in the top flight once more.

In further changes today, the club have also appointed Ken Choo to the role of general manager.

'We are pleased to welcome Ken to Cardiff, adding a wealth of knowledge and experience as the club moves forward. Ken will be responsible for shaping the business, making us more efficient and getting the best out of our talented staff.'

Adding that Mr Choo will also now be joining the newly formed Executive Committee, which will be comprised of manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, Tan Sri Vincent Tan's representative and Mr Dalman and the committee has been formed to discuss all aspects of the club and make consensus decisions on how we move forward.
