Medel To Arsenal In The Summer?

Medel To Arsenal In The Summer?

I can't actually see much substance to this rumour, and it is early but I guess with our current position we might as well get used to a few of these over the coming months.

Midfielder Gary Medel is being tentatively linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer of Cardiff cannot stave off relegation back to the Championship this season.

I say tentatively because there are no quotes concerning the future of our Chilean international from either him, his representatives, Cardiff or Arsenal.

Having had the impact he has done in this division since joining us in the summer for £11million, 27 appearances across all competitions, and having that shown specifically when he was missing with a thigh injury, it's suggested these displays have not gone unnoticed amongst other clubs, Arsenal specifically for some reason.

Obviously Jordan Mutch is also name checked as being somebody else we will struggle to hold on to should we go down, but to be fair we could list a number of players and say the same about them, just randomly picking teams that at this stage seem move likely to be in the Premiership in 2014-15 couldn't we.

Maybe he'd give Arsenal the backbone they're lacking? Maybe it'll not be Arsenal but it'll be someone this summer if we get relegated from the Premier League.
