Odemwingie And Jones Swap Deal?

Could Peter Odemwingie swap Cardiff for Stoke with Kenwyne Jones making the move in the opposite direction? This is what the Daily Mail has said could happen with their reports today.

Odemwingie shows flashes of what he can do and you can understand why Malky brought him to the club in a way but I've always had a problem with him stretching back to the way he tried to engineer a move from West Brom to QPR last season, that was a prime example of all that's wrong with football these days.

He's a frustrating player and as 32 isn't one for the long term. Jones, at 29, isn't either but I think if you mapped out their Premier League careers Jones would be the better option of the two.

If Stoke do want to take the Nigerian off our hands I don't think I'd be too disappointed, if this can be with Jones coming the other way I'd see us as having got the better end of the deal as five goals in his 10 appearances for Stoke this season isn't a bad return by Jones, compared to just two in 15 for Odemwingie.

This might not have any truth to it at all, and it depends how much OGS rates both, but it's a fairly random report for the Daily Mail to run with if there isn't even a slight hint of something possible happening here.
