'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Reaction to Norwich Defeat

It was a tough game and Cardiff didnt do enough to hurt Norwich and without Chopra they lacked bite up-front. This was the first time all season that Cardiff failed to score but Norwich are a good side with a new manager and City have a terrible record at Carrow Road.

Dave Jones was disappointed with the performance but remained upbeat and looked for positives after seeing his sides 5 consecutive wins ended:

'In the second half we camped in their half without really hurting them but we didn't do ourselves justice.

Its certainly not the end of world however and the response is vital, Jones focused on the fact that this was just one game and Cardiff are still having an excellent season saying: 'If it's going to be one bad performance every 12 or 13 games then I'll take that but we have to be better than we were today.'

Peter Grant was understandably delighted with the result but praised Cardiff for their second half revival:

'For the first half I'd give them (Norwich) 10 out of 10, for the second half I'd give them 2 out of 10 but in the second half it was the complete opposite. We stood back and let a very good side dominate us which was disappointing.'
