Noone's Anfield Dream

Craig Noone has returned to Anfield since his release by Liverpool as a youngster, but not always with much success.

Patience was the key for Noone this season. A constant feature for us in the Championship last season he was without his full Premier League debut until the home win over WBA last weekend.

Now he's targeting another run out when Cardiff head to Anfield for the meeting with the inform Reds.

Noone, who spent a couple of years with Liverpool as a youngster, always dreamt of playing at Anfield and in an ideal world would have done this with them but it wasn't to be. This weekend there's every chance he'll get another Anfield outing, which will see some of his family supporting Liverpool against him!

That'll be a 'strange thing' for him, and them, as he told Wales Online. They'll have some support for him though of course, but will be wanting their side to win.

Previously he turned out in a National College Cup final; that went well for him. His side won and he scored, in front of the Kop too! That day the famous Kop was empty, as was most of the ground in fact. When he played for Brighton he was part of the side that got thrashed 6-1 in front of 43,000 fans in an FA Cup tie.

As you'd imagine that wasn't a great day, and he hopes for a better one this weekend. He said: "It was a dream to play there in front of a big attendance, but it wasn`t the best of experiences because we lost.

"I`m hoping things go a lot better for Cardiff.

Liverpool have been really among the goals this season, but I don't think that we should be too fearful of this game. Perhaps, if we're honest, we'll get beaten but if we go to Anfield with fear then we'll not only lose without a doubt but we'd probably get thrashed to boot.

Noone will be well up for this, and I'd think that he did enough against WBA to keep his place in the side.
