Songs for the Cardiff City

As sent in by someone purporting to be David Jones!

Some were slightly too rude to be published but here are 4 of his idea:

Ohhhh Steve McPhail is magic, he wears his magic boots.
He plays for Cardiff City and starts off all their moves.
He passes up to Thompson, and Chopra does the rest.
Another goal for Cardiff, cos they're the f***ing best !

-to the tune of 'My Old Mans a Dustman' (or Peter Thorne's magic hat)

Sam Hammam, Peter Ridsdale, Davey Jones' Bluebirds!

-to the opening riff of Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water (also used to be Strongbow advert?)

Joe Ledley, Joe Ledley running down the wing,
Joe Ledley, Joe Ledley banging crosses in,
Runs with the ball,
Shoots and he scores,
Joe Ledley, Joe Ledley!

-To the tune of 'Robin Hood, Robin Hood - riding thru the Glen' You do know it ! listen > here.

And finally,

Steven Thompson, Michael Chopra - best two strikers in the land!

-to the tune of the Bread of Heaven bit of Bread of Heaven (Cwm Rhondda).

Thanks to 'Dave Jones' for those. If anyone else has stories, reviews or just ideas such as these, then e-mail me at:

I like the Stephen McPhail one, think he deserves a song and his name doesnt fit the easy ones!

The Mcphail one is pretty damn good I must admit , wish we had gone and signed him instead of Marney :-(

That was me and I am called David Jones (Honestly!) just got bored 2 b honest - and i miss Peter Thorne :(

Miss Peter Thorne? You are welcome to him. Sicknote hasn't managed to stay injury-free for two games in a row for us yet! If Worthington wasn't such an arrogant swine, he would have been sold to Brighton last summer and we would have signed Chris Sutton :(
