Dave Jones misses out

Colchester United boss Geraint Williams has been named manager of the month for September after winning 3 and drawing 2 games in the month.

Dave Jones won the accolade in August and beat the 'curse' whereby teams whose manager wins often go through a subsequent rough patch. cardiff had an excellent month aswell but Jones missed out after being shortlisted.

Jones is also apparently out of the running for the vacant manager's position at WBA. Jones is unlikely to be interviewed after strong opposition from supporters over his previous management and connections with fierce rivals Wolves.
