Player Ratings vs Wolves

ALEXANDER: 7
Few saves to make but was alert when called upon. One great save to deny Olofinjana.

GILBERT: 7
Hugely impressive in support and solid in defence. Rarely looked troubled today and got forward quickly and regularly.

PURSE: 7
Cut out so much and calmly brought the ball down to start a move. Distribution was a weakness but only due to the sheer volume of moves he broke up.

LOOVENS: 8
Colossal in the air again and cleared danger before it became dangerous all afternoon!

McNAUGHTON: 7
Solid and effective until he departed with injury. A hamstring problem but didnt look too serious.

PARRY: 8
Strangely looked more dangerous on the right but kept the width well and got good crosses in. Deserved his goal.

LEDLEY: 7
An excellent job at left-back without any fuss. Did exactly what was required and so comfortable on the ball.

SCIMECA: 9 (M.O.M)
Was everywhere and took his goal superbly. Protected the back four brilliantly but was so quick going forward and used the extra space effectively.

McPHAIL: 8
Class on the ball, busy off the ball. Another good performance using the extra space well. So comfortable under pressure.

THOMPSON: 7
Ran himself into the ground and challenged for everything. Goals will come but a selfless team performance from the big Scot.

CHOPRA: 8
So impressive again. At the heart of all the attacking threat and was a constant worry to the Wolves defence pulling them all over the place.

Subs:

KAMARA: 8
Worked hard in defence and lively in attack. So strong and full of running and took his goal superbly. Supremely confident and kept involved throughout.

CAMPBELL:
Came on for Thompson and worked hard. Posed little threat but held the ball up well.

FLOOD:
Some neat touvhes but little time to impress. Nearly through on goal but was just caught.

He's been abo*****ely inspirational this year after a shaky start. I think any Championship club would be lucky to have him.
