Palace Join Watford In Wembley Play-Off

Crystal Palace or Watford will be the third Championship club to earn a place in the Premiership next season after the Eagles earned a 2-0 away victory over Gus Poyet's Seagulls who were many people's tip to triumph.

Wilfried Zaha was the hero, netting both goals for Palace in what will be his penultimate game before joining up with new club Manchester United. His first was a low header, the second a venomous strike as the forward stole the headlines once more.

Former Cardiff City man Danny Gabbidon helped his side to a clean sheet with a typical calm and assured defensive display.

Cardiff City are not involved in the play-offs this time around, and what a relief that is. Congratulations to Crystal Palace, and as the Bluebirds know all too well - Ian Holloway is exactly the type of manager who can really inspire a team for a big finale at Wembley. It will be a hell of a tussle between he and Gianfranco Zola. For once, we can sit and watch with mild interest!.
