Player ratings for Luton victory

ALEXANDER: 8/10
Good saves and solid punching and catching. Deserves a lot of credit for his performances, no chance with the goal.

GILBERT: 6/10
Unable to challenge in the air again, terrier-like but still positionally unsure. Good tackling and full of running but a slight defensive weakness.

McNAUGHTON: 7/10
Supported well and never looked under threat. One shot when he should have passed but another consistent display.

PURSE: 7/10
So determined and committed, helped by his calmly taken penalty Purse looked assured and composed though never under intense pressure.

LOOVENS: 8/10
Such a dominant display again and hardly lost a challenge in the air. Cleared time and time again and justified Jones` choice to recall him.

LEDLEY: 7/10
Frustrated not to get on the ball as often as he wanted but found space and used the ball well. Looks far more experienced than he is and still looked cultured in attack and defence.

PARRY: 8/10
Such a difference this season. Parry is reborn and looks pure quality, a permanent outlet on the right he cuts in or goes outside his full back and looks full of confidence and fitter than ever. Deserved his goal and what a finish.

McPHAIL: 7/10
Tidy and busy in midfield, McPhail was given space after Luton`s red card but used his ball well. Reluctant to shoot but just needs a goal.

SCIMECA: 6/10
Several shots off target and was solid and effective. Not as direct and positive as in recent weeks but still did his job well and without fuss.

THOMPSON: 7/10
Looks unsure when facing forward but another good performance. His assist for Chopra`s 1st was excellent and he worked hard all afternoon.

CHOPRA: 9/10 (M.O.M.)
So important to the team and looks a brilliant signing. Took his goals well and was a constant threat. So intelligent, so lively and developing well with Thompson.
